Lawnswood has a proud history stretching back over a hundred years, and over recent years has seen many significant milestones.
The school is now housed in a new building with excellent facilities featuring full size gym and sports hall, music recital and practice rooms, hall and drama studio with fully integrated sound and light system, IT rooms, spacious art, technology and science suites and a sixth form centre with library and common room.
The school was awarded specialist status in Mathematics and Computing and this has enabled the school to enrich the curriculum, facilities and continue benefiting students with cutting-edge developments.
More recently we have been awarded the Inclusion Charter Mark for our strength in being an inclusive school. This also coincided with Lawnswood being awarded Healthy School accreditation for developments in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Our Arts Mark Silver award is an indication of strengths in many other areas of the school.
